The Network's Identity:
  • DanceArt-Performance network
  • This is an association of freelancers (network) working holistically and inter- or transculturally, particularly in the field of dance and theatre (performance) and film.
  • In addition to artistic work, arousing interest in cultures (in schools etc.) is an important aspect (notably the cultures of Latin America and Brazil); this is also achieved through ongoing cooperation with Locomotiva do Frevo, Carlos da Silva (Pernambuco/Berlin).
  • Projects were offered and implemented in Hamburg between 2004 and 2008 and have been offered and implemented continuously at elementary schools in Berlin since the end of 2008.
  • The projects are recorded on film and some are monitored, evaluated and published.
  • Following the successful work for the 2009 Carnival of Cultures, we expanded our ongoing work with schoolchildren in the field of dancing as well as drumming courses, having already received the necessary funding for a longer term (2010/2011).
